What We Do
We operate as the Master Franchise partner for the Subway® chain in Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. With unwavering commitment to operational efficiency, food safety, quality, and customer-oriented service, we ensure the profitability of our restaurants and adherence to our values.
We continuously explore opportunities to expand into new areas while developing existing markets. We seek strong potential both for growing the restaurant network of our subsidiaries and for expanding the business of our franchisees.
At the core of our restaurant operations is our commitment to providing our staff with the training and support needed to succeed at work. Through systematic evaluation and reporting, we continuously monitor the development and progress of our staff. History
Our Story
Subway® first arrived in Finland in 2000. The concept sparked interest among the founders of Subcom Oy, and our company’s story began in 2006 when we opened our first Subway® restaurant in Vaasa.
The company has grown significantly since then. Today, we have nearly 70 own chain restaurants across Finland.
Since 2010, Nordic Bites Group has been the partner responsible for the development of the entire Subway® chain in Finland. Today, the chain’s restaurant network in Finland includes over 190 franchise-owned restaurants.
Since the end of 2021, Nordic Bites Group has also been responsible for the development of Subway® chain operations in Sweden. Nordic Bites Group’s own restaurant operations started in Sweden in the summer of 2023. Our growth has been rapid, as we already own nearly 20 restaurants in Sweden. Today, the entire restaurant network in Sweden includes over 160 franchise-owned restaurants.
In 2023, the private equity firm Juuri Partners joined our company’s growth as a significant minority shareholder.

Our Group in Details
Nordic Bites Group Oy is the Master Franchise partner for Subway® in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Under the Master Franchise Agreement Nordic Bites Group Oy has the exclusive right to manage nearly 400 Subway® restaurants currently operating in the Nordic countries. Nordic Bites Group Oy’s subsidiaries Subcom Oy and Subcom Sweden AB own and operate over 80 Subway® restaurants in Finland and Sweden. Finnish private equity company Juuri Partners has been a significant minority shareholder in Nordic Bites Group Oy since 2023, supporting its growth.
